Golden Ale v2

The Golden Ale came out so good I rebrewed it almost straight away without any changes to the recipe.  The brew day went straight forward with no hiccups, except I was 2 points under starting gravity even though water volumes were bang on. Another brew where I had to extend the mash out to 1 hour 45 as the gravity kept rising.

Mash

Scheduled to be a 60-minute mash at 65 degrees, I hadn’t reached gravity at 60 minutes so ran for an extra 45 minutes.

Fermentation

10 days at 19 degrees. Dry hop at 7 days, crash @ 10 Days, Gelatine at 12 Days, Keg at 14 days.

About Dene McDonald

Home brewer just tying to make the best beer I can with limited resources. I'm a sucker for a dark beer, and believe deep down that sours are just beers gone wrong - you can't trick me into drinking off beer.
